In memory of Jo Elkins

Jayne Coke is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Josephine (Jo) Elkins
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Jo was born in Banff in 1935.  She spent an idyllic childhood on the Aberdeenshire coast, before moving with the family first to London and then to Huntingdonshire.

She was 17 when she met Derek at a dance on a post-war Lincolnshire air-base.  Four years later they married in Shepherds Bush - the start of 65 years of inseparable happiness.

Jo died on 30 June.  She is mourned, and still much loved by Derek, their children Jayne and Tim, and their families.
