Thames Path Challenge 2022 · 10 September 2022 to 11 September 2022 ·

Walk, jog or run 28km, 50km or 100km to bring safe drinking water to children at school in developing countries. Over 1 or 2 days, improve your health and impact the lives of pupils in Cambodia.

Story

On the 10th of September, I will walk 50 km as part of the Thames Path Challenge in support of 1001 Fontaines which was just launched in UK this year by two girlfriends and is a charity that I  care deeply about.  The creation of 1001 Fontaines in 2004 in Paris was inspired by Louis Pasteur, who declared: “We drink 90% of our diseases”. Our organisation focuses on the provision of safe drinking water by solar powered water kiosks purifying locally sourced water set up directly in the communities they target using a sustainable, entrepreneurial model. It now serves over 850,000 beneficiaries (including 315,000 children in schools)in Cambodia, Madagascar, Myanmar and Vietnam with the objective of serving 3 million by 2025.

There are many charities we all can support,  I believe 1001 Fontaines is unique in providing access to a fundamental human need, creating sustainable local jobs and reducing  CO2. I hope you will help me raise money to help 1001 Fontaines to reach its  goals.

Thank you very much.
