Dreams Come True is a national charity that enriches the lives of children with a disability, serious illness or life-limiting condition by making their dreams come true. It's the only UK wish granting charity supporting children in the highest areas of deprivation. www.dreamscometrue.uk.com

Story

Last year I threw myself way out of my comfort zone (and all over the ice) at the UK Charity All Stars hockey tournament in Cardiff. More importantly, YOU GUYS helped me to raise £1110.00 for terminally and seriously ill young people. That money helped them to forget about suffering most of us will never know, and just for a little while they weren't defined by illness. They were kids. That was you. You did that.

With that kind of achievement in year 1, I know I need to raise the stakes for Dreams Come True in 2017.

So... if my target of £1500 is reached by the time the clock expires in the grand final on 30th July 2017, I'm going to sacrifice my beloved beard for the cause and broadcast it live on the internet for your sadistic viewing pleasure.

It's been a decade since my last wet shave. I can't remember what the bottom half of my face looks like. My wife is terrified.

You know what to do, friends.

Thank you.
