In 2005 I entered the Bethany Christian Centre for the first time. I could never have imagined how my life would look almost 13 years later. 

Homeless. Addicted. Relapse. Broken. Lost. Tormented. Imprisoned. Chaotic. These are only a few words that describe my life back then. 

When I first went to Bethany Christian Centre, I was struck by how the staff loved me. They valued me, listened to me, were kind to me, they wanted to know what I had to say, and they helped me - without asking for anything in return. 

I entered and re-entered the center around 9 times over a 12 year period and not once did they give up on me.

Countless overdoses. Prison sentences. Hospital stints. Rough sleeping. Drug dens. No matter where I found myself - I always knew I could turn back to Bethany and they always opened the door. 

They offered me something no one else ever had - HOPE. 

By the grace of God, and how he uses Bethany, I am where I am today.  

I'm raising money for the person who is currently addicted, lost, scared, hopeless and homeless. So that they can be offered the same chance I had - time and time again.
