Joe's 7 x 70.3 for JDRF

7 x 70.3 for JDRF · 8 August 2022
Starting on the 8th of August I’m going to be attempting a half ironman on 7 consecutive days for JDRF. Both JDRF and triathlon have been important parts of my life since I was diagnosed with T1D 14 months ago.
JDRF is the leading research charity for the prevention, cure and treatment of type 1 diabetes. They produce many incredibly useful resources which were invaluable to me as I tried to navigate a new chapter of my life. I wish to raise money for them in order to give back, to allow them to continue to help others like me, as well as to prevent T1D once and for all.
Having only really picked up triathlon after being diagnosed, it has helped me physically and mentally to achieve things which I wouldn’t have even considered possible last year. It seems fitting to use the culmination of a year of hard work to help a charity which essentially made attempting something like this possible. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
