160 Miles for Macmillan

160 Miles for Macmillan · 28 August 2022
1 in 2 people in the UK will develop cancer at some point in their lives and most of us have seen first hand how devastating the impacts of cancer can be, myself included. The NHS backlog due to the pandemic and additional financial strain caused by the cost of living crisis have made it even more challenging for those living with cancer and their families. That is why I have decided to fundraise for Macmillan who provide essential medical, financial and emotional support to those affected by cancer.
In August, I’ll be walking 160 miles from Hurst Castle, along the Jurassic Coast and South Devon, and finishing in Bigbury on Sea. This is the equivalent of 6 marathons over 6 days.
Please help me reach my target of £1,600 (£10 for each mile I walk!) by donating what you can.
⭐️ £19 could help one person access the cancer information helpline who provide specialist, emotional and practical support.
⭐️ £34 could cover the cost of running Macmillan’s online community for two hours, offering support to around 132 people.
⭐️ £49 could help someone affected by cancer speak to a Cancer Information Nurse Specialist.
Without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
