Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the last couple of years I have known two people who have been taken from us tragically early by aggressive Brain Tumours.

So rather than just sit back and think how awful these things are I thought I would get involved with the Brain Tumour Research Charity via an umbrella organisation set up by the parents of one of the boys Taylan who sadly passed away.

So on Saturday the 25th of April I will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth which is just over 300 feet in height. I haven't abseiled for around 35 years when I did some with the scouts so it will be a real challenge for me and the rest of the team.

I would really appreciate any donations that you can give to help raise money to fund further research into this illness often referred to as the forgotten cancer.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
