We are both City GPs working in the NHS as frontline staff. Running helped us to unwind and keep fit at the same time during these busy and testing times. We had come across stories of NHS health care professionals who were suffering with mental health problems as a direct result of the Covid pandemic. We are trying to see how we can help make a difference and support our colleagues. Our experience of building our running distances has really boosted our morale and we would love to help re-create this feeling, with as many people as we can!! :)

"We are really keen and to encourage the Public, NHS Health and Social care professionals and their friends to train and either complete a 5k or 10k run to improve mental health and boost morale whilst simultaneously raising money for Unicef to deliver Covid vaccinations globally."

The challenge:

1. Train and Run/Jog or Walk 5k or 10k in the week of 3rd- 8th may. End date to fundraise is 10th May.

2. Get sponsored and raise money through this Jog2Jab 'Just Giving Team' page. Please ask friends and family to mention your name when they donate.

3. Follow the current government guidelines and only social distance run with 1 friend or on your own.

4. Follow @jog2jab on Instagram. Please also get your family and friends to follow us to support the cause.

5. DM us your name and a selfie on @jogtojab, your job title and one story/positive experience that made you smile at work or anytime during 2020 (Keep the story anonymous) and we will share it! :)

Every Km run by a healthcare professional will improve their mental health and every £1 towards their efforts will be a step closer to fighting Covid!!
