Story
5 Bikes, 5 Blokes, 1 stupid idea.
5 Berkshire blokes from Bluecoat (Back in the day), take on John O’Groats to Land's End via the Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon) this September; covering 1,600km (by bike) and 3 of the UK's largest mountains (by foot) over 2 weeks, in an effort to raise money for MIND UK.

Most, if not all of us, know someone who is struggling, or who has struggled with mental health. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the problem, many people suffer in silence, fighting an inner battle that we cannot see, or people may not be able to speak about.
This is a problem that has been exacerbated by the recent pandemic, with millions of people having experienced a mental health problem, or seen a loved one struggle.
For them and for everyone affected, we, just 5 relatively normal blokes (See below), have decided to set upon a challenge to cycle from John O’Groats to Land's End via the Three Peaks this September; covering 1,600km (By bike) and 3 of the UK's largest mountains (By foot) over a 2 week period, averaging 130km and 1,200m of elevation per day.
The Blokes:
- Jon Weston Stanley, AKA, The Calorie-Counter
- Nick Brown, AKA, The Financier
- Adam James, AKA, The Trainer
- Will Paige, AKA, The Packer
- Rob Emmerson, AKA, The Accommodator
Through this challenge, we are taking the opportunity to contribute to help step up the fight for mental health; fighting for change, for fairness, for respect and for life-changing support.
We are all responsible for making change happen, and feel that MIND can help....
