We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

In April 2023, myself and 4 friends are aiming to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity by cycling between 950 - 1000 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End in memory of our friend Steve Burke.

As many of you know, I’ve played football for a number of years and played for Merley Cobham Sports for about 8 of those. Steve and his family were a big part of the club with his wife Donna being the secretary, Steve himself being the vice chairman for a couple of years, his son in law and nephew both playing for the first team. Steve was always present in the stands come rain or shine and went with the first team home and away, as well as supporting the reserve team at home.

Sadly Steve passed away from a grade 4 brain tumour after a very brave 2 year fight. As he was such a big part of the club, we wanted to do something in his name to show how much he impacted everyone he was around.

Follow us on this amazing adventure, with updates on training rides, route plans and commentary on how each day goes during the challenge in our aim to help us raise  funds for this amazing charity, who work so hard to find a cure for this awful illness.

Any donations will be most appreciated.
