Manchester Half Marathon 2023 · 15 October 2023 ·

St Rocco’s Hospice provides specialist care and support across Warrington, helping those who are coping with a life-limiting illness. It costs over £5 million each year to run the hospice – which means we need to raise over £12,000 each and every day just to keep running.

Story

Hello!

We (John, Matt, Rory, and Rosie) are running the Manchester Half Marathon on October 15 in aid of St Rocco's Hospice.

We're supporting St Rocco's because of the great work they do across the North West, providing specialist care to those with life-limiting illnesses.

As a group, we've seen first-hand just how special and important the work they do is and wanted to help give back.

Matt's Mum Val received a great deal of care from St Roccos before passing away in 2021 and the staff there were very supportive during a stressful time.

St Rocco's also helped support Catherine, a family friend of mine who passed away in 2015.

All four of us have been working really hard, training through the summer heat so we'd all really appreciate the support.

Because I do actually enjoy running, I've chucked in some money to get the ball rolling as well.
