Story

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have been running for a while now and have taken part in a marathon every year since 2009, after finally giving up smoking.

This year I wanted to raise the stakes a bit and try to complete a new challenge with the Iron man in September. I'm not a strong swimmer and have hardly been on a bike for 20 years, so I have a lot of training to do and will be committing many early mornings and late evenings to the pool, bike and treadmill to try and get fit enough to complete the course and being over 40 now makes it a lot harder. (or that might be the wine and beer?)

As well as training for the Iron man I will also be volunteering my time to raise funds by working on site with some supportive clients who I'm sure will enjoy giving me a long list of pleasant jobs while I'm with them.

After losing my Dad to Cancer in 2000 and my Mum currently receiving treatment. Cancer and Macmillan are causes close to my heart. The treatment my Mum has received over the last 6 months has been amazing and I'd like my friends and family to help me give a little back to say thank you and hope that it goes towards helping someone else.

Anything you can donate is much appreciated and I will keep you updated over the next 4 months with some training news and progress. You won't hear anything else I expect :-)

Thank you for your support
