Event: Beds Boundary Bash, 19-20 April 2019

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to visit our page.

Burrells’ Bounders are taking part in ‘Bashing The Beds Boundary’, a 150 mile challenge to run the entire Bedfordshire boundary, to raise much needed funds for The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The event is inspired by Robbie Burrell’s (Team Captain) sister Debs who is battling this most cruel of terminal diseases that kills six people every day. There is no cure with six people being diagnosed each day too.

In true Deb’s spirit she is pushing the focus away from herself and concentrating on raising funds to help to try and someday find a cure for this horrible condition.

Robbie and his friends have entered three teams, three people in each team, in to the challenge. Each member of the teams expects to cover fifty miles in relay during approximately twenty-four hours. They start their gruelling challenge on Good Friday morning, 19th April.

The team members are Robbie Burrells, Nick Kier, Andy & Andrea Sewell, Alistair Fadden, Roy Wildman, Neal Dunkinson, Marianne Williamson, Nina Pitcairn and Shaun Watts.

As well as the 150 mile race, runners of all abilities will be raising additional funds by taking part in a five-mile “final leg” race in the stunning setting of the Picts Hill House estate in Turvey – which will also provides the start and finish lines for the main event. You are welcome to join in!
