Story

CAUDWELL CHILDREN IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF FUNDS DUE TO CORONA VIRUS. I WILL MATCH ANY DONATION YOU MAKE SO THAT THE CHARITY RECEIVES DOUBLE YOUR DONATION.

Each year, Modesta and I organise and host a cycle ride and gala fundraiser evening for Caudwell Children in Monaco. However, on Friday 20th August I had a massive crash, breaking 10 bones in my body, puncturing my lung and fracturing my hip.

I do hope, even though I am not able to do the bike ride, that you will continue in your endless generosity and maybe sponsor me on a “pain/broken bone” basis. I would have really enjoyed the ride, but I am certainly not enjoying sitting here in a lot of pain and being fairly immobile. I just hope you will help me to help the thousands of children out there needing us.

Helping disabled children and their families is something that is close to both of our hearts! Over the last 20 years I have been fortunate to meet many children and families whose lives have been made better by the support and helping hand they have received from Caudwell Children.

During this unprecedented period of national disruption and uncertainty, disabled children and their families are feeling isolated, fearful and confused and need our help more than ever. Yet, the increased burden placed on the NHS and social services by the coronavirus outbreak means that many services for disabled children will be adversely impacted for the foreseeable future.

Caudwell Children adapted their services week by week throughout this period to ensure they meet the changing needs of beneficiaries and are committed to providing a lifeline to thousands of vulnerable disabled children and families at this challenging time. Without our continued support, disabled children will become the silent and forgotten victims of this terrible crisis.

Please donate generously, whatever you can afford and for every £1 donated on my page, I will personally match this donation, meaning Caudwell Children will receive double your donation.

I continue to pay all the operating and administrative expenses associated with the day to day running of the Charity. This makes us totally unique and means that every pound you donate goes directly to helping children.

We can only continue changing lives if we continue raising funds and with your help we can make a greater difference and help more children reach their full potential. I really hope you can help.

Here are some examples of how a donation or fundraising activity could make a real difference to Caudwell Children families:

£250 would pay for a dedicated autism workshop training day for 10 families.
£500 would help fund a therapy tricycle for a child with mobility issues to exercise.
£1000 would provide sensory equipment to help a disabled child in lockdown.
£5,000 can provide a child with an autism diagnosis and 12 months of family workshop support that can transform their life.
£20,000 could provide a child with a stand to sit wheelchair, a life transforming piece of equipment offering independence and freedom.

We hope you can be part of something special by supporting Caudwell Children.
