Story

The Royal Marines Charity; providing a better quality of life to serving and retired #RoyalMarines and their families. http://www.theroyalmarinescharity.org.uk

Originally my Commando Spirit 30 mile yomp page, now my general RM Charity fundraise page.

On 10/09/2016 I survived Survive The Yomp in less than 9hrs!

On 12/09/2015 I survived Survive The Yomp in 10hrs 30mins for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund because I want to show my support for our Royal Marines.

Survive The Yomp is no walk in the park. Set in the stunning Scottish Highlands aroundhistoric Achnacarry Castle, this is a 30-mile hike across rugged and remoteterrain; they don’t call it ‘Commando Country’ for nothing.

You can see more ofwhat I will be facing by watching the highlights of last year's Survive The Yomp here:

Part of the Commando Spirit Series of fundraising challenge events “Survive The Yomp” mirrors the training exercise normally only experienced by Royal Marines Commandos.

On 12th September 2015 I am determined to be one of those that Survive The Yomp – moreimportantly and with your help I intend to show true grit and determination toraise significant funds for Royal Marines and their families in need.

They risk their all for us – will you show your support and sponsor me today? Thank you.

If you wouldlike more information on the challenge and how you can join me do visitwww.commandospirit.com

Where do the funds go?

Commando Spirit’s Survive The Yomp is raising funds for the work of the Royal MarinesCharitable Trust Fund.

The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund has probably the widest purposes of almost any Service charity – helping the wounded and injured; providing support for thosestill serving by funding decompression activities, homecoming events andmemorials; providing through-life support to those who have left the Corps orhave lost loved ones. Quite simply, the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fundwill help when others cannot.
