Peter and I have decided this year to raise funds for Victory Outreach UK.

Victory Outreach UK is a Christian organisation set up 25yrs ago to work with, and provide homes for young people who are unable to cope in their current living situations. It primarily engages with young people who have a history of offending, been in and out of prison and who are addicted to drugs and or alcohol. Victory outreach currently has 4 homes in the South Wales area to which young men and women are referred to, often direct from Prison. The home offers stability for the young person and helps them to withdraw from drugs. From the very start each individual is cared for, prayed with, told about Jesus and led into a worshipping relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

Each person is nurtured back to health physically, emotionally and spiritually. Many of the young people who come through the doors of Victory Outreach come with great emotional needs and even with thoughts of taking their own life.

Kelly, a previous resident at one of the Victory Outreach girls homes and who has been free of her Heroin addiction for over 4 years said this

"If it hadn't been for Victory Outreach I don't think I would be here now,"

Peter and I are travelling to Greece this October for seven days of mountain biking from one coast to another over Mount Parnitha,descents, valleys and gotges to Rafina.  A ferry trip across to Evia and then over to the mountains of Antia.   We are joining a larger group of Mountain bikers and will be cycling for up to 8 hours a day, we have to acheive a given distance to get to our pre booked over night accommodation, we dont really know this distance but you can presume its going to be about 30 to 40 miles per day, gulp! But it all sound fun to me.
