Throughout the past year I have seen first hand the real debilitating impact that M.E. (Myalgic encephalomyelitis ) has had on my girlfriends life. This however has been present in her life for the past 9 years. She has nearly been bed bound for 12 months where even a visit to the local shop can be  too much. To add to this there is the continual frustration around the lack of research and  training  for medical professionals on how this is treatable. 

I am running the marathon to raise awareness for all the M.E. sufferers in Northern Ireland and beyond. Further it is my hope through your donations that more money can be put into research to find a cure to this devastating illness that very few people know about.
