Story
On 17th June 2021 I was diagnosed with Asthma. I Wasn't able to breathe thinking I had COVID, not being able to breathe was a really scary experience. I was hospitalised at St.Thomas' for 3 days with 88% Oxygen level and a drip.
I never thought or knew you could get asthma as an adult. I was lucky the attack wasn't worse than it was. I want to raise awareness and help for Asthma UK to help others get diagnosed and also get the right treatment.
Today (01-08-21) I ran the LLHM in 02:09:15 which is a 2021 PB (SB), i get some sort of anxiety when running fast as being out of breath or heavy breathing scares me a bit, thinking maybe an attack may come back.
I don't know a lot about Asthma, and I'm trying different things with my medication to stop it being a barrier to what I love which is running.
