Story

This year, I will be fulfilling a lifetime ambition by taking part in the London Marathon. More importantly, it is an honour to have been awarded a Golden Bond charity place by Cancer Research UK.

CRUK has funded research which has helped double the survival rate in the last 40 years in the UK. Today, around half of people diagnosed with Cancer will survive. Within 20 years CRUK want to see three quarters of people surviving all cancers.

Living with ‘AS’ - a chronic back condition - means that my ‘training’ will mostly be restricted to the swimming pool and training bike. http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Ankylosing-spondylitis/Pages/Introduction.aspx

I have been truly humbled, yet so inspired by many people - including friends and family - who are affected by cancer in some way. Please help me to support Cancer Research UK by making a donation - your support is greatly appreciated!
