Story

Hi everyone my name is John Edmondson and i  am just one of 5000 people living with MND in the UK at the moment, a good friend of mine Paul Donegan came up with our fundraising idea.  We are determined to raise funds and awareness and to give hope to everyone who has had to face this awful diagnosis. There is hope out there as there are some promising drugs reaching the end of trials, however funding is always an issue to get things over the line.

If everyone who watched Rob Burrow's documentary recently just donated £1 we would be that much closer to finding a cure... however just imagine the difference it will make if everyone took on the MND1000 Challenge! Join me now!

How the challenge works

Each participant challenges themselves to 1000 repetitive exercises, whether it's press ups, sit ups ,squats, star jumps etc the limit is only your imagination.Obviously 1000 press ups is difficult to achieve in one hit, so John is doing 100 assisted press ups(off his knees) over 10 days with a minutes rest in between each set of 20.

The key is to keeping it moving forward  so we hope participants will nominate 3 people to accept the challenge. if you can film it and post it on social media that's even better!

Click on the team link MND1000 above to join the challenge!

I will be filming this too to post on my social media to help raise awareness as well as funds - #MND1000
