Lochalsh Dirty 30 Challenge · 11 June 2022

Mission Motorsport, The Forces' Motorsport Charity was founded in 2012 to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by Military Operations by providing opportunities through Motorsport and the automotive industry, using motorsport as a tool to support those harder to reach.

Story

On 11th June rather than marshalling at the British touring car championship at Oulton Park , my walking buddy Steve, my daughter Amy and her friend Beth and I will be tackling the Locklaish Dirty 30 challenge https://www.lochalsh-trails.co.uk/

The Dirty 30 is a hike through the spectacular West Highlands of Scotland , from Glenelg, passing the Skye Ferry, the Skye Bridge and the world famous Eilean Donan castle before climbing over the hills and past ancient brochs before returning to the finish in Glenelg

We will be doing this challenge in support of MISSION MOTORPSORT https://www.missionmotorsport.org/,  a charity whose aims and ambitions  mean a lot to me, and I am honoured to see their work in action at the Race of Remembrance every year on Remembrance weekend.

MISSION MOTORSPORT whose motto is “RACE , RETRAIN , RECOVER,” aids in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected physically and mentally  by military operations by providing opportunities through motorsport and the automotive industry .

MISSION MOTORPSORT has helped  over 2000 veterans  into employment, with over 300 beneficiaries accessing employment through the charities training and placement schemes  It has engaged with a further 2000 through the provision of over 850 events

If you feel you can help, any contribution , no matter how small , will be very much appreciated and will help support this amazing cause.
