We provide a safe and supportive environment for attendees to connect with other people, grow in confidence and learn new skills. Many of our gardening sessions now take place at Grow for Life's very own Walled Garden in Newton St Loe, on the edge of Bath.

Story

Next weekend I take on IRONMAN Vichy. It’s a long-held ambition of mine to race one of the toughest triathlons. The race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a marathon to finish.

I’m fundraising for Grow for Life: a small charity that runs gardening sessions as a therapeutic intervention for people affected by low confidence, depression, anxiety or isolation.

A small donation would go such a long way in helping to transform lives. It would also give me the additional motivation I will very much need to get through the gruelling challenge!

The past year has included up to 16 hours of training per week: early morning rides, running countless miles and splashing around in neoprene in the sea. It’s been exhausting but has given me real focus and discipline in a very uncertain unusual year. It’s been amazing for my mental, physical and spiritual health. I am therefore excited to be raising money for a brilliant small charity that helps those struggling with mental health through incredible gardening projects.

Grow for Life have a brilliant team of staff and volunteers, and their work really does transform lives by improving mental health, boosting confidence, building skills and equipping people to move into work, further study or other meaningful activities. Head to growforlife.org.uk to find out more.

Any donations made via Just Giving go directly to Grow for Life. As a small charity every pound goes a long way. Thank you in advance for supporting their brilliant work!
