in memory of Jacqui Jenner

Sadly on 30th January 2020 Jacqui Jenner, known to many as Headteacher Mrs Jenner passed away aged 85.
She was suffering from Dementia, but passed away peacefully at home with her adoring family and husband by her side, as were her wishes.
She was happily married to John Jenner, & they were due to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this June.
Jacqui had 3 sons; Jeff, Jim & John, 7 grandchildren: Charlie, Molly, Issy, Jas, Alice & Lucy, with an 8th due in April & one great grandson Joe-Joe. She adored her family, loved spending time with her grandchildren and travelled extensively with John her husband.
Jacqui founded several schools in her lifetime, and remained passionate throughout her life about educating children. She was a regular fixture on the school playground, welcoming children to school every day, whatever the weather.
Jacqui was a keen dancer as a teenager, and it was with this hobby that she first tangoed into the world of teaching by setting up a series of dance schools in London and Reading. Not content with teaching children, adults and couples various types of dance, she also made time to appear on Come Dancing with her husband John, and set up her first nursery.
In 1974, the young family decided to pursue another dream - a life of farming in Devon. While John tended to the diary cows, Jacqui had ambitious plans for one of the farms barns- it would be her next school. Jacquie and John raised their three sons in Devon, and finally set up Magdalen Court School in Exeter. She could still be found at the school desk up until January. It was truly her life's work.
A celebration of Jacqui’s life will be held at Magdalen Court School, Tue. 25th Feb. at 4pm , all are welcome.
No flowers please, donations if desired to Dementia UK.
