Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
About a year ago, after a few (too many) beers in London, myself and a few school friends decided to take on the ultimate UK cycling challenge... John O Groats to Lands End.
This alcohol-fuelled bravado is about to become a reality, and on Monday September 2nd, along with Richard Bounds and Sam Walker, and our fantastic support crew, Alex Schlich, plus other family and friends, I will be setting off from John O Groats on the start of an epic journey. Covering 1000 miles with 35000ft of climbing, and taking in classic routes like Loch Ness, Glencoe, Cheddar Gorge and Dartmoor, we plan to complete the challenge in 12 days, finishing on Friday 13th September.
I have chosen to take this opportunity to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, to improve the bereavement care received by parents and families and to promote research to reduce the number of babies dying.
Sands is a charity very close to me, as they provided huge support to Sarah and me nearly 16 years ago when our little Elliot died soon after being born. The help Sands gave allowed us space and time to come to terms with our loss and helped us to move forward with love and positivity.
Your donation will make a real difference to the lives of bereaved families. Thank you for your support.
I will try and post regular updates throughout our travels so you can feel part of the journey and follow our adventures!
