Tour of Scottish football grounds · 8 June 2015

BBS is the only national sports disability charity in the UK that specifically supports people with sight loss to take part in sport and recreational activities, ensuring that people with sight loss have the same opportunities as sighted people to experience the power of sport in their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a lover of all sports, particularly football, I was one of many who were inspired by the GB team during the London 2012 Paralympics. The performances of the blind and visually impaired were particularly memorable for me.I admire their skill, tenacity and courage so much.

In a mad moment, a plan was hatched to visit all of the Scottish clubs in one grand circular tour. By remembering the legacy of 2012, the whole exercise found a genuine purpose.

My visits to the football grounds of the SPL, Championship, Leagues  One and Two as well as the Highland and Lowland Leagues will incorporate a blindfold jog around the perimeter of each pitch. Hopefully, this will raise awareness of British Blind Sport and the huge benefits it provides for blind and visually impaired participants of football and many other sports.

We hope that match programmes will be donated by each club to be auctioned as full sets of all 74 clubs to raise money With your help, much needed funds can be generated to assist the sporting endeavours of blind people, young and old.

Thanks for your  support.
