I am embarking on an epic challenge on my 1952 Vintage Grey Ferguson Tractor from my home in Woking to my second home in Knocknagoshel.
The journey is some 485 miles. When my Fergie was new it did 15 miles per hour, 67 years later it's top speed is to be confirmed!
I'll be setting off on Saturday 8th August 2020 taking minor roads at an average of 60 miles a day, aiming to arrive in Knocknagoshel on Saturday 15th August 2020 to coincide with Pattern Day.
My wife Halina will accompany me in our camper van support car to provide accommodation, moral support and numerous cups of tea.
I am raising money for two charities, one in Woking and one in Ireland:
Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is a charity that delivers specialist palliative care to people who have advanced life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their carers and families.
Pieta House is a suicide and self-harm crisis service and suicide bereavement service doing amazing work across Ireland.
I will be funding the trip myself and all the money raised will go directly to the charities.
