Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

ERSO

The Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra was founded in in 1931 by Ernest Read, a renowned pioneer in musical education. Working with children, particularly in Camden, and providing developmental opportunities for young musicans are at the heart of what ERSO do and follow directly on from Ernest Read's legacy. ERSO have big plans to celebrate the orchestra's 90th birthday and Ernest Read's massive contribution to music education.

Support our epic cycle!

An intrepid ERSO cycle team of conductor Chris, oboist Dab, trumpeter Jonathan and yours truly (a long-term ERSO supporter) will be taking on the Prudential Ride London-Surrey on 4 August, 2019.  We're training really hard for the gruelling 100-mile route from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, through the City and out to Surrey. The challenge includes testing ascents of both Leith Hill and Box Hill, before a return to London and a finish on the Mall.

This race is not for the faint hearted, so please support me. Any donation, of any size, would mean a lot to the orchestra and the young musicians that ERSO work with.
