Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2022 · 30 April 2022 to 1 May 2022 ·

Since 1952, Rose Road has supported children and young people with complex and multiple disabilities, and their families. Help us celebrate 70 years of working toward a vision of a world where disability is not a barrier.

Story

I am running for Rose Road, a local charity which provides vital services for disabled children, young people and their families. I hope to raise £2,000 to purchase equipment such as sensory toys for their playschemes. I am running in memory of our grandson Jake Moore, whose 20th Birthday would have been on the eve of the run. Jake used the Rose Road services and we found them invaluable to us as a family. Knowing that Jake was in a lovely, safe and caring environment meant so much to us.

If I exceed more than the £2,000 I will give the balance towards the Rose Road emergency respite project, which costs £65,000 per year to run, and provides respite for families in crisis.

Thank you so much for your support!
