Glasgow Samaritans is available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. We also raise awareness through speaking to organisations, groups, schools and colleges.

Story

I've had the good fortune to be able to see the incredible work done by Glasgow Samaritans 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of every year since 1960.

Their unpaid volunteers are there to listen when people are in crisis and struggling to cope. I hope you will be able to support their efforts.

I will be running the Loch Ness Marathon on October 6, 2019. At 57, and fighting a bitter battle against middle-aged spread, I know this is gonna hurt. But, with a bit of luck and a following wind, I should finish just ahead of the sweeper-up bus.

So thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please be generous for this great cause.
