Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am attempting to break the world record for the fastest half marathon run whilst carrying a full bag of golf clubs. That's 13 golf regulation clubs in a golf bag. The current record is 01:57:58, so I am attempting to run fastest than that time at an official half marathon event.
My initial attempt will be at the Southport Half marathon on Sunday 27th June 2021. Due to the potential heat on the day and the difficulty of running with a bag of golf clubs, this will be a hard challenge, where I may not be able to achieve the required time on the first go. Should that be the case, I intend to keep entering half marathons until the record is broken.
I will be running to raise funds for Epilepsy Action.
Epilepsy Action is a community of people committed to a better life for everyone affected by epilepsy. They want high quality, accessible epilepsy healthcare services, so that people with epilepsy have the support they need to manage their condition. They want wider awareness and understanding of epilepsy, so that people living with the condition are treated with fairness and respect.
