I'm running the Cork City Marathon to raise money for Angiosarcoma Awareness Inc. It is a very rare type of cancer that my mother in law died from. Angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma; in  simple terms the lining of the blood vessels become malignant. This charity combines patient advocacy with research funding. For such a rare cancer (most oncologists won't have encountered it) the group as an online community is a great source of online expertise, information and companionship for both patients and caregivers. They were a great support to Jane when her mum was ill. 

Money raised will go to support Angiosarcoma specific research projects, which are funded by the charity, including the Angiosarcoma Project at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
