Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Following the amazing achievement of my brothers & a few notable others in crossing the channel in an inflatable kayak: (http://www.justgiving.com/teams/InflatableCrossChannelKayak), I would like to try and raise a few quid for the same great cause in memory of our family friend Lucy.

In a few days I am going to attempt to ride 81 miles up, down and around the hills of Newbury. Hopefully this justifies sponsorship for the following reasons...

- I am not an cyclist (I didn't have a bike until a month ago)
- I struggled to cycle 10 miles in a 'training' ride
- I have to maintain a minimum speed of 12-13mph (my average speed to date has been 10mph max) to avoid being sucked up by the road sweeper
- I'm unlikely to be able to sit down for days if not weeks after sitting on a plastic bike seat for 6-8 hours
- I was led to believe this was a slow-paced cycle ride in the sun, with regular stop offs at pubs. I recently found out this was a complete lie and it is in fact a serious race

So once again any donations for this great cause would be much appreciated, thanks for your support!
