Redburn School meets the needs of children with complex learning, medical and physical difficulties. The children who attend this school are age two to eighteen. The school are planning to raise funds to purchase and install a hydrotherapy pool and to run the two minibuses.

Story

Following what some say has been a mid life crisis,  and after two decades of zero exercise,  an unhealthy liking for red wine and pizza I decided, after some persuasion from friends to enter this years london triathlon. Unaware that there were various shorter  distances I could have chosen my "friends" signed me up for the olympic distance  event. This consists of a 1.5km swim in the thames, followed by a 40km bike race and then a 10km run to finish off. I have been training constantly since february now and two and a half stone lighter, a bad knee,  dodgy  shoulder and hip i am now as ready as I'll ever be to take this on.  gulp!!!!!!

As most of you know i have a wonderful wee stepson daniel who  has severe disabilities and requires 24 hour care. An integral part of his support is based around redburn special needs school. They are continually raising funds to ensure that the  complex needs that kids like daniel require are met. They are currently attempting to raise funds to contribute to a  hydrotherapy pool which would greatly  improve the health and wellbeing of many of these children. I would greatly appreciate any contribution you can afford towards this worthwhile  cause
