London Landmarks Half Marathon 2019 · 24 March 2019 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Our Dad was healthy all his life, with only one stay in hospital in the 1960’s.
In June 2018 he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. This shocked his and our worlds.
He had stents fitted and was then strong enough for the whipple operation in August.
The operation was stopped part way through as the cancer had spread to his liver.
The next 6 weeks Dad never left hospital and the cancer was very aggressive....
Dad passed away on 2nd Oct 2018, less than 4 months after being diagnosed.
We are heartbroken and devastated.

We as a family will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in March 2019.
We want to complete it for our Dad and ourselves, and to raise funds for the awareness of pancreatic cancer.
