Story

Welcome to my fundraising page in support of the work of Catholic Charities Atlanta.

Recently, I was honored to have been selected as a member of 2019-20 Catholic Charities Atlanta Leadership Class. This class is providing me with a unique opportunity to learn how to integrate my faith into my professional life and to get a deeper understanding of the amazing work that Catholic Charities does in our community. As part of my journey in servant leadership, I have a goal of raising $5000 for Catholic Charities.

If you've found your way to my page, I have asked you to join me in supporting this great cause. Through your donation, your can ensure that refugees seeking asylum from a war-torn country will find a safe home in Atlanta, veterans will receive access to services they need to support their families, immigrants will take English and civics classes to help on their path to citizenship, struggling families will keep their homes out of foreclosure, and new parents will learn how to care for their children.

Those are just a few of the services that Catholic Charities provided to over 13,000 people in the Atlanta area this year. 92% of those people are low income, and 61% of them live in poverty. Catholic Charities serves everyone, without any interest in their religious affiliation. We serve because we are Catholic, not because the clients are. And even though it has "catholic" in the name, Catholic Charities only gets a small portion of its funding from the church and depends on support from people like you and me to carry out its mission.

I am proud to be a member of this year's Leadership Class and hope that you will help me to meet my fundraising goal. Catholic Charities Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

As a bonus for visiting my page, I'm going to post some photos in the "Updates" section below from my recent pilgrimage to France. In our travels, our pilgrimage group connected with wonderful examples of faith and service: St. Vincent de Paul, St. Catherine Laboure, and St. Martin of Tours, to name just a few. These experiences have inspired me to do more to serve my own community through Catholic Charities work. Click through all of the Updates for photos of my adventures in France and with Catholic Charities Atlanta.

Thank you for your support.
