Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In November 2013, my son Finnian was involved in a serious road traffic collision. He was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital having suffered a traumatic brain injury. Finnian is one of 40,000 children in the UK who each year suffer a serious brain injury.  Like so many children and families we have only been able to cope through the skills and generosity of so many people and organisations. The Child Brain Injury Trust is one such organisation whose help has been invaluable.  The CBIT keep in regular contact with my wife and I, they have helped us to understand the nature of acquired brain injuries and how over time this injury might impact on Finnian.  Their support has enabled Finnian to return to school and provide specialist training for his school teachers.  Please do help so that other children and families can be supported when faced with such life changing situations.
