After entering the ballot for the London Marathon for several years running, I've finally got myself a place to run the Marathon and raise funds for Versus Arthritis.

Versus Arthritis is an amazing charity which supports those with arthritis and also funds vital research in to the condition.

Closer to home, just before the start of the pandemic, Martha was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) - an auto-immune condition affecting young people which can strike out of the blue.  During all those months of lockdown, Versus Arthritis has provided amazing support for Martha with online help, online social events and even cooking and craft workshops, enabling her to meet other young people with the same condition.  

Running the London Marathon will enable me to fulfill a long-held ambition to run the Marathon and provide support to this amazing charity.
