John Smith is raising money for Tayside Mountain Rescue Association

Participants: Team members and friends of Tayside Mountain Rescue will participate with me in this adventure and money raised will be split equally between both charities, Tayside Mountain Rescue and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance.

The main activities of the charity are search and rescue of missing or injured persons in the hills of Tayside Region and beyond, the provision of training and equipment for the mountain rescue team members and the raising of funds to support such activities.

Story

This 130 mile adventure will be undertaken by members of the team and friends, on Saturday 14th May 2022, to raise funds for two charities: Tayside Mountain Rescue Association (SCIO): Charity No. SC001172 and Scottish Charity Air Ambulance: Charity No SC041845.  

The format of the event will be for each participant to Run, Mountain Bike, Road Bike, Swim and Canoe the length of Scotland’s longest river, through the heart of Perthshire, starting on Ben Lui (1130 metres above sea level) in the Southern Highlands, at first light and finishing with a swim in the North Sea at Monifieth, by last light.

The participants will be assisted during the event at transition locations by a dedicated Support Team.
