Man and Boy and Oxygen.

No matter how prepared you might think you are life can always throw up challenges you hadn't expected. Many of us I have experienced a crisis in some way and it is often at those points we just need all the help you can get. Oxygen and man and boy have both developed excellent ways of reaching out to those in need to give them the opportunity, support and encouragement they need to cope with life's ups and downs.

Oxygen targets its work towards young people who struggle with poor mental health, underachieving at school, at risk of offending or from deprived backgrounds. through a range of interventions including mentoring, youth clubs, volunteering, anti knife crime initiatives, activity residential and Enterprise oxygen can usually find a way of helping young people discover their skills to overcome the barriers they face and give them hope for the future.

"Being part of the What's the point? programme? Looking back, ... I have to say that it was the single most significant thing I did throughout my secondary school career! It was the point at which I grew up, took responsibility and tried to change something."



Man and boy also runs range of programmes designed to build positive relationships for young people with a significant role model. They receive referrals from a range of agencies seeking support for young people during the transition from childhood to adolescence, when when there is a real need for positive and encouraging input and just good old fashioned quality time!

"We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the winter man & boy camp. It made us realise how life is so busy and that we do not spend enough quality time together enjoying one another’s company as father and son. It has also made us aware we should make more effort at home to take time out to discuss things together. I would strongly recommend the camp to anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity to take part in future man & boy activity weekends away. "

With Just Giving fundraisers are only able to select one charity.  I want to support both Oxygen and Man and Boy so all funds received will be split 50/50 between the two charities. Oxygen is collecting the funds and will forward 50% to Man and Boy which is permitted within Oxygen's constitution.
