Hundreds of households here in the far west of Cornwall have been hit by the consequences of lock-down, they have lost their incomes, missed out on benefits and are suffering from food-poverty. They need OUR help right now.

Story

Hundreds of households here in West Cornwall have been hit very severely by the consequences of ‘lock-down’. Many have lost their only income, failed to qualify for state benefits and are now experiencing food-poverty. They need OUR help right now.

Penzance Rotary Club has issued grants to around 120 households so far and has deposited many thousands of pounds on account at Penwithian Cash & Carry for the three local foodbanks to draw down.  Along with grants to other local welfare groups, the total donated to those in need through Penzance Rotary is now more than £10,000.

This support has changed lives, but the funds are running out and we cannot just turn our backs now. With our help, the 'Miles of Hope' fundraising campaign will ensure that the support can continue.

Together, the pounds that we donate will make the world of difference to desperate young parents, their children and to the lonely.

We can put food back on tables, reduce anxiety and prevent families from breaking apart.
