Thames Path Challenge 2013 · 14 September 2013 ·

We fundraise to buy equipment, fund major projects, desensitise the medical environment and buying a new ambulance for the Children's Intensive Care Unit at Southampton University Hospital. Caring for critically ill children from across the south of England and the Channel Islands.

Story

I have known John. Lily-Mae s dad,  for quite a few years as a friend and a work mate in the Royal Marines.

I don't have children of my own but have younger brothers and sisters and I can't imagine the pain that a tragedy like this would cause.

I know that the 62 mile run is probably going to hurt towards the end. But the main force that will drive me to complete this run is the fact that I will be helping people in the same situation as John and his family. hopefully making there situation slightly easier and not so hard to bare.  Whilst also remembering a beautiful little girl Lilly-Mae.
