Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To celebrate my 50th year I have undertaken the biggest challenge of my life – entering a 100-mile North Downs Way ultra-marathon!
This means running almost the equivalent of four marathons on the trot across fields, hills, streams, forests and more hills from Farnham in Surrey to Ashford in Kent. All in one day!
In addition to this challenge I would like to raise some funds on behalf of my friend Mark who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease.
I have known Mark and his wife Jo for many years. Five years ago they had a son Ollie, two years later they got married, all the ingredients for a happy long life together. Then Mark received the news that he had the life-limiting disease Motor Neurone and life would change for them all from that point forward. Mark will need more help in the future, the Motor Neurone Association have already been fantastic offering support and resources in this difficult time.

Please make a donation, so this wonderful charity can continue helping my friend and his family, and so many other people like Mark that need that extra bit of help.
