On January 9th John set out on his latest attempt to complete the Montane Winter Spine Race, one of the world's toughest endurance races. All being well he should complete the race sometime tomorrow. You can find out more about the race here:

He doesn't set out to raise money for charity when he enters these events, it is something he does for the love of the sport, but occasionally, as is the case with this race, friends and followers ask if there is somewhere they can make a donation.  So we, his family, have set up this page on his behalf.
