On the 31st of October I intend to run a marathon from Killay to Rhossili on the Gower to raise money for Maggie's Centres, and also in memory of a very dear friend Andy Macindoe who passed away from cancer in February this year. 

Andy was a great friend to myself and my family and we are proud and grateful to have known him. His generosity of spirit was always there for everyone to see. His loss will impact on many of us for a very long time. 

Maggie's were instrumental in helping Andy during is his last months and I know he and his family were extremely grateful for their support. 

Around what would have been Andy's 60th birthday on 2 November seemed liked a good time for myself and others to attempt to raise money for Maggie's. So, for myself, I thought I'd run 26.2 miles of the Gower Peninsula and at the same time admire the views which will hopefully distract from a few aches and pains.
