Hi all,
Welcome to our revamped "John Darren Nick - Mount Everest 2017" JustGiving page. In March 2017, we will trekking Mount Everest!!
We will be training and raising vital funds for an extremely deserving local charity, Taylor-Made Dreams. This charity has been set up in the memory of an inspiring young man, Taylor Mitchell, so PLEASE take a few minutes to visit the website http://www.taylormadedreams.net/. Taylor-Made Dreams enables children with life limiting illness to achieve their dreams; the charity also source and financially support holistic therapeutic support for the families.
The trip itself will involve flying to Kathmandu and then on to Lukla in the Himalayas. From Lukla we will trek for 9 days to Everest Base Camp followed by a summit of nearby Kala Pattar (5545m/18,192ft) which, if all goes to plan, will be on 3rd April 2017, John's 56th birthday.
