DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. We fund pioneering research and provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.

Story

My nephew Tie has such a terrible condition called EB, not many people know about it and it causes and has caused him agonising pain since before he was born even.

No one i know could stand the pain he goes through each day, but this brave mite not only puts up with it he will smile for us.

His skin and internal linings arent stuck down proper and come away with any friction, and i mean any. only trained people like his mom and dad can pick him up.

His parents have been told that he will die young, at any age up to 30 years due to cancer or other complications this nasty conditon causes.

My running experience is............ ..... none.

Not even ran to the shop before now, but for this little fella i am going to run the 10 k event of the anglesey marathon and i hope that you will sponsor me for his charity, DebRA who fund research into a cure and give him help whenever they can.

If you want to join me on the day to do the kids run, 5k, 10k, half or full marathon then contact : tony.eckersall@debra.org.uk or on 0161 286 5340
