Story

We are a team of Partners from John Lewis Cheltenham, planning to run the Cheltenham Half Marathon in September to raise money for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice.

Sue Ryder is a charity which is close to all of our hearts, with many having known or known of someone who has been cared for by the outstanding team in Leckhampton. This is the third year which we have run the Half in aid of Sue Ryder (one of which was virtual), but probably the most important as Sue Ryder, like all charities has been seriously affected by the pandemic and is in dire need of support.

We are planning a range of fundraising activities to help us reach our target but all donations are very welcome so thank you in advance for anyone willing to donate and support this brilliant cause.

Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
