I'm taking part in a multi-day ultra-marathon in memory of my wife Janice, who worked for more than 40 years for Blue Cross
Animal Hospital in Grimsby. When she died recently, following a long
and difficult illness, I wanted to do something special in her memory. The Marathon des Sables, described on their website as

"the equivalent of running from London to Dover, deciding not to go to France after all, and running back again in 120 degree heat” (all while carrying a backpack)
