John was diagnosed in September 2018 with Co-Rectal Bowel Cancer. John faced his illness with courage and a determination to be here with his family for as long as possible. 

John spent a lot of time at Velindre Cancer Centre having treatment.  He would love to give back in helping other patients going through their treatment. 

John recently mentioned that if in 2018 he had been told he would have nearly five more years he would have grabbed it with both hands. To help others do the same would mean the world to John.
