On the 11th September 2022, I am taking on The Great North Run to raise money for BEEP Doctors (BASICS) Cumbria.  As a paramedic I know first hand the impact the doctors have when called upon....day and night.

This charity enables volunteer doctors to bring enhanced clinical care to medical and traumatic incidents. Despite the team working their core roles as GP's/Hospital Consultants/Air Ambulance Doctors, they volunteer their own time to respond to pre-hospital emergencies, ensuring the service is available 24/7.

Given the amount of time the whole team put into providing this service I felt that running a half marathon was the least I could do.

Funds are required to keep them equipped and in a position to continue utilising their skills in the pre-hospital environment.
